Going the extra mile(s) for MND Association

2 November 2025

Southgate Wealth Management has gone the extra mile - quite literally - raising more than £300 for the MND Association during the charity’s “75 Miles in October” challenge.

Director Jonathan, Marketing Manager Katrina, and their enthusiastic border terrier Rubble took part in the nationwide fundraising walk, clocking an impressive 101 miles between them. Their efforts raised £163 from supporters, which Southgate Wealth Management topped up with a £150 donation, bringing the total to £313.

Jonathan said:

“Taking part in this challenge was a great way to stay active, get out with Rubble, and support such an important cause. The MND Association does incredible work for people living with motor neurone disease, and we’re proud to help raise both funds and awareness for their efforts.

“Southgate Wealth Management began supporting the MND Association in spring 2025, initially through sponsoring a charity cricket match for former England international and Gloucestershire CCC player David “Syd” Lawrence. Syd sadly passed away from the disease shortly afterwards. Since then, we have pledged to continue our support to help raise awareness and vital funds for the charity’s life-changing work.”
